How to report content that infringes your rights. Last updated May 13, 2026.
Stash has not designated a registered DMCA agent. Please send takedown and rights-holder requests to the email address below; we honor reasonable requests promptly.
Independent product
Stash is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or officially connected to any third-party platform, website, creator, or content owner. Links saved in Stash remain subject to the terms and policies of the original source. All trademarks belong to their respective owners.
Our position
Stash is a personal organization tool. Users choose which links to save, and Stash stores those URLs along with user-created notes, tags, and organization, plus lightweight metadata, previews, summaries, captions/transcripts, and context where available. Stash does not knowingly download, rehost, or republish full third-party videos, audio, or images as a public content library, does not bulk scrape platforms, and does not bypass platform restrictions. Where appropriate, Stash links out so you can open content in its original source. Original content remains subject to the original platform's terms. We respect creators and rights holders and honor reasonable takedown requests.
How to submit a takedown or rights request
Email hello@stashsocialapp.com with the subject line “Takedown Request” and include:
- Rights holder name and contact information (email, and a phone number or address if available).
- Identification of the copyrighted work or right at issue.
- The Stash URL or saved item at issue, if available.
- The original source URL, if available.
- A statement that you, the rights holder (or someone authorized to act on their behalf), believe the use is unauthorized.
- Any other information needed to evaluate the request.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
If you are reporting on behalf of a rights holder, please describe your authority to act. We may follow up for additional information before acting.
What we’ll do
We review valid notices and will remove or restrict access to allegedly infringing material where appropriate, typically within a few business days. We may notify the user who saved the content and give them an opportunity to respond. Stash does not control the original third-party source, so removal from Stash does not remove content from the platform it was saved from.
Counter-notice
If you believe content was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notice to the same address with the same elements as above and a statement consenting to jurisdiction in your local courts.
Repeat infringers
Accounts that repeatedly violate copyright will be suspended or terminated.
Reporting other content
For harassment, illegal content, explicit material, spam, or abuse, use the “Report” button on any save or stash, or email us directly. See our Terms for the full acceptable-use policy.
